Note: We recently interviewed, trained and hired someone but at the last minute she did not pass the background check.
That is why this ad is posted so soon again.
I am a thirty four year old woman with a physical disability.
I use a power wheelchair.
I have a cool adapted minivan with an automatic ramp.
There is slight lifting as I need help with transfers but not anything too personal or too icky.
I am looking for a person that can work a 25 hours work straight through shift, paid for sleeping over 1 night.
I have a really cute cozy house located on the outskirts of Fort Bragg, in a very nice and safe neighborhood with redwood trees, a deck and yard.
I have a great team of people that assistant me.
The shift I need to be filled is described below:
Fridays - 5pm to Saturday at 6pm -.
1 night sleeping over.
Total: 25 hours
(because of variable hourly rates)
Gross pay per shift: $668.
(Once you are hired I may offer you back up shifts when other people can’t make it for their regular shift, if it works out well and is good for your schedule.
TBD.
)
You have own your really nice bedroom and private bathroom so it’s really comfortable to sleep over.
This could be an ideal situation for someone who wishes to work these hours in a row because it is equal to working almost 3 days in a 8 hr a day setting.
It’s also a meaningful job providing support and freedom for me.
I’m very independent and can do a lot myself.
There’s slight lifting involved as I can bare weight, stand and take steps but just need a hand with balancing, assistance to transfer which is holding my hand until I sit or reach a grab bar.
I don't have any medical complications.
And no I don't wear diapers (hey, I've been asked).
I do some of my personal care too.
But I can’t cook! Not at all.
I just got a Quick Pot and I can’t wait to try it out.
I like to read my horoscope every morning.
It’s amazing how right it can be! I love taking walks with my dog, (you must love dogs) going to the movies, oh and I pay your ticket so that’s a nice little benefit.
I like going on day trips, I really like to be out and about, going out to dinner, spending time with friends, going out to live music, and online shopping when I’m bored.
I don’t always buy stuff though.
I have a newer mini van that has a ramp and is super easy to drive.
I also enjoy watching movies and interesting you tubes.
So it’s a personality fit really.
I’m a bit of a sensitive and I guess a liberal spiritual type person.
One of my goals is I’d really like to keep a bonsai tree alive for once.
I’m pretty low key to live with.
When you reply we can send photos and a file with a list of the job duties, which are pretty simple and basic stuff.
On the lighter side of caregiving; attentive companionship, driving, light cleaning, light cooking, etc.
I have a Bernese mountain dog who is two years old going on 6 months puppy.
He travels well in the car and is trained for basic commands.
So you should like dogs.
