Our home health agency in California is seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide personal care and support to our clients in their homes.
The caregiver will work closely with our clients and their families to promote independence, ensure safety, and provide assistance with daily activities as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care and hygiene support to clients, including bathing, grooming, and
* toileting
* Assist with mobility and transfer needs, such as transferring clients to and from beds,
* chairs, and wheelchairs
* Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management as needed
* Provide companionship and engage in social activities with clients to promote their
* emotional well-being
* Prepare and serve meals to clients according to their dietary needs and preferences
* Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the
* healthcare team
* Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the
* supervising nurse or case manager
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or
* equivalent is preferred
* Experience providing personal care and support to elderly or disabled individuals is
* preferred
* Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
* Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time
* Ability to navigate stairs and uneven surfaces
