50 / hr + tips – Depending on Experience* *About the Tribe* The Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians (“Tribe”) is a federally-recognized Indian Tribe located in Redwood Valley, Mendocino County, California.
The Coyote Valley Reservation (“Reservation”) is 120 miles north of San Francisco and 7 miles north of the town of Ukiah.
The rural community of Redwood Valley is in the heart of California’s wine country, nestled among rolling hills of oak trees and vineyards.
The beautiful Mendocino Coast is a 50-mile drive west, and the famous “Avenue of the Giants” Redwood National Forest is a 2-hour drive north on Highway 101.
Lake Mendocino is a short 5-mile drive south and Clear Lake is a 25-five mile drive southeast.
The Tribe operates a number of governmental departments including a tribal police force, tribal education, health, housing, social services, recreation, and environmental protection departments, among others.
In addition, the Tribal Government operates a Tribal administration complex providing administrative support, accounting and fiscal accountability, and human resource functions for the Tribe.
The Tribe also maintains a learning center, swimming pool facility, gymnasium and park.
Our tribal corporations own two gaming facilities, a convenience store, wastewater facility, gas station, and convenience store.
The intent of the Tribe is to reach total economic self-sufficiency for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life of our Tribal members, while making positive contributions to the greater community.
*About the Hotel* The Coyote Valley Wyndham Garden Hotel (“Hotel”) is a beautiful, new 99-room facility with a pool, gym, and conference rooms located on the Tribe’s reservation adjacent to the Coyote Valley Casino.
The facility will open in the summer of 2023.
*The Opportunity* The Hotel is seeking Bartender / Barista / Serversto help us launch and operate a first class hospitality property.

*The Role* The Bartender / Barista / Serverat our hotel plays a vital role in ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
They provide excellent customer service, assist with menu selection, take orders, serve food and beverages, and maintain a clean and organized dining environment.
The Bartender / Barista / Serverwill work closely with the kitchen and other service staff to deliver exceptional service and create a memorable dining experience for our guests.
*The Benefits* We offer a generous benefits package with all employees being able to accrue up to 240 hours of PTO depending on the number of years of employment.
The PTO annual accrual schedule depends on the employee’s Exempt / Non-Exempt status.
All employees hired to work more than 30 hours per week will receive medical, vision and dental insurance.
*Essential Functions and Responsibilities* 1.
Customer Service: Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner, understand their dining preferences, provide menu recommendations, and address any inquiries or concerns.
2.
Order Taking: Accurately record guests' orders, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
Ensure that orders are transmitted promptly to the kitchen staff.
3.
Food and Beverage Service: Serve meals, beer and wine and other beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Provide recommendations for wine pairings or other beverage selections.
4.
Table Maintenance: Set up tables and ensure they are properly arranged with utensils, glassware, and condiments.
Clear and reset tables promptly after guests depart.
5.
Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness standards in the dining area, including tables, chairs, floors, and service stations.
Adhere to health and safety regulations.
6.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, hosts/hostesses, and other service personnel to ensure smooth and efficient service.
7.
Upselling: Promote daily specials, add-on items, or special promotions to increase revenue and enhance the overall dining experience.
8.
Must maintain strict confidentiality during and after employment.
9.
Able to work holidays, weekends and evenings as needed.
10.
Able to assists with Hotel and other Tribal events including setup, cleanup, etc.
11.
Must maintain professional behavior with positive representation of the Tribe and Hotel while on and off the clock.
12.
Other duties as assigned.
13.
Payment Processing: Present bills to guests, accept payment, and provide accurate change.
Process credit card transactions in compliance with established procedures.
14.
Guest Satisfaction: Anticipate guests' needs, address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, and strive to exceed guest expectations.
*Minimum Qualifications* 1.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or fine dining establishment.
3.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
4.
Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including an understanding of wine and cocktail selections.
5.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
6.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
7.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
8.
Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic math skills for order processing and payment handling.
9.
Flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
*Physical Demands* The Bartender / Barista / Server role can be physically demanding.
It involves prolonged periods of standing and walking extensively throughout the shift.
Bartender / Barista / Serversmay lift and carry trays of food and beverages weighing up to 25 pounds.
They may also bend, reach, and twist to perform various tasks, such as serving, clearing tables, and setting up the dining area.
Good physical fitness and stamina are helpful to handle the demands of a busy dining environment.
Bartender / Barista / Servers must also have the ability to work in a climate-controlled indoor setting or an outdoor patio setting and tolerate varying noise levels.
*Work Environment* The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an Employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Must be able to work in an environment where a high degree of concentration is necessary to perform job duties.
*Other Information* 1.
At times the Employee may need to enter the back of house of the Coyote Valley Casino.
As such a gaming license may be needed including pre-employment drug testing (for illegal drugs) and a background investigation.

Preference in filling vacancies will be given to qualified members of the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians or qualified Native American candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act (Title 2, U.
S Code Section 472 and 473) and the Indian Self Determination Act (Public Law 93-638).
