Adventist Health Mendocino Coast has a rich history in serving community members on the coast.
Following a grass-roots effort to pass a hospital district initiative, Mendocino Coast District Hospital, was dedicated on June 26, 1971.
Mendocino Coast District Hospital took its place as an important resource for the Fort Bragg community offering residents the peace of mind that comes from knowing emergency help is readily available and medical care often can be provided locally, keeping families together as much as possible.
In July 2020, Mendocino Coast District Hospital joined the Adventist Health family.
Job Summary: Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines.
Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Master's Degree: Required Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Required Speech-Language Pathology (SLP): Required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP): Required Essential Functions: Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment.
Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.
Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.
Supervises assistants and support staff.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
