Sterilization Technician

Duties include: Demonstrates knowledge of dental and medical terminology and instruments.
Documents and maintains accurate sterilization records for Auto claves and Ultrasonic instruments Wears PPE effectively, and for long periods of time.
Performs inspections of instruments for proper functioning use.
Disposes of Biohazard materials, sharps, and instrument processing solutions.
Performs daily preparation of compressor.
Prepares instrument processing solutions.
Distributes sterile instruments, surface disinfection products, and prepared trays.
Performs daily instrument processing, hand piece maintenance and sterilization.
Wipes off counter tops and high-level working areas.
Performs daily maintenance and spore testing of sterilizers.
Performs maintenance of the ultrasonic machine 2x a day and monitors testing.
Collects dirty instruments from all departments for processing.
Travels to other sites as needed Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and experience in both sterilization and infection control
