POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Transportation Dispatcher, under general supervision, will effectively coordinate the patient transport services and activities at Sonoma County Indian Health Project, Inc.
through timely and accurate dispatch of transportation requests and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and established policies and procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must have valid driver’s license and be able to meet the minimum insurance requirements regarding driver record in order to utilize GSA vehicles.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to support the weight of others who require assistance in standing, bending, stepping, walking, and/or sitting.
Driver cannot smoke cigarettes/cigars while transporting clients or operating GSA vehicles.
Maintain client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Must be courteous, punctual, and able to navigate by road maps.
Possess current CPR certification.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines and follow up on assignments;
Assists in scheduling time off while ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained.
Compose correspondence independently or from brief instructions;
Organize and maintain office files and records, including those of a confidential nature.
Make arithmetic calculations with speed and accuracy;
Adhere to standards, policies, and procedures of SCIHP and follow safety guidelines for self, patient, and other employees including Universal Precautions and hazardous material guidelines, including but not limited to Federal, State, OSHA, and CDC;
Apply effective verbal and listening communication skills;
Demonstrate proper phone and cellular phone handling;
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of medical, professional, administrative and support personnel contacted in the course of work.
