REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES The successful candidate will support student and institutional success by executing the following duties: Provides tutoring services to STEM students based on their education and professional experience; Serves college students by assisting with academic success strategies; Support students (tutees) to become more independent learners, persist in college, and reach their goals; Provide individual and/or group tutoring to students across a broad range of courses based on their personal area of expertise; Meet with students to clarify and review concepts taught in class, explain processes and help students solve specific problems; Supports classroom-centered activities, and as such, the emphasis and content of the tutoring sessions is determined by the student's needs; Work with colleagues and the Program Director to support their own professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS Must meet Human Resources guidelines for qualified hiring; including by not limited to a Live Scan background check and completion of TB test.
Must have sufficient, appropriate subject matter expertise that pertains to STEM (science, technology.
