```Job Overview:
La Vida Charter School is seeking a Bilingual Classroom Aid and Office Assistant to join our team.
As a Bilingual Classroom Aid, you will provide support to teachers and students .
Your bilingual skills will primarily be used communicating with parents.
Your role will primarily be involved with supporting math classes, copying assignments, supporting teachers, playground supervision , setting out breakfast or snack depending on the day.
When not in class you will have office support duties which are primarily other aspects of student support.
This will include copying and scanning, talking to parents, making phone calls, answering the phone as well.
La Vida Charter School is an unusual model.
Two days of onsite classes support independent study or home study students.
Monday and Tuesday is elementary and Wednesday and Thursday is High School.
The school is located on the beautiful and historic Ridgewood Ranch, Home of Seabiscuit on Highway 101 between Willits and Ukiah.
Classes are small mixed grade groups and the school itself is a 1950's designer home.
It is a very sweet place and the relationships with the students and staff will be positive and meaningful.
Duties:
- Assist teachers in implementing curriculum and lesson plans
students.
- Provide one-on-one support to students including students with special needs.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning and play environment
- Support classroom and playground management by enforcing rules and procedures
- Assist in organizing and maintaining student materials and resources.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a classroom or educational setting
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- Understanding of childhood development milestones
- Experience working with students with special needs is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; or an associate's degree in education or related field is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
